Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Proprietor Of Cellular Pet Salon In Hillsborough
James Taylor has expressed concern about what happened to his 5-pound dog JUJU last weekend. Taylor claims that a groomer taped Jujur’s mouth shut when it was bitten. This resulted in the dog looking bloody and being distressed.
Taylor recalled, "My dog clearly was in distress. What I originally thought was an actual muzzle, turned out to actually be tape. Jujur's toenails were cut too close to his paws, which caused him to bite. His paws looked reddened and bruised.
Puppy Lux, an on-the-go pet salon, employed the groomer that was responsible for this.
James took Juju immediately to the vet for immediate medical attention. He has accused Puppy Lux of animal abuse, joining numerous others who have made similar allegations. As a result, the San Mateo's office has initiated an investigation into the company for potential animal cruelty.
James described the injuries he observed, stating, "I noticed wounds near the joints, around the neck, and in the genital animal abuse effects area. The cuts were severe enough to cause bleeding."
Jack Smithr, a customer of Puppy Lux, posted a review on Yelp, detailing how his pets were returned to him injured or unwell. One customer posted a Snapchat clip of a dog who appeared to be in distress, alleging that the groomer forced a napkin down its ear.
Puppy Lux also wants to make sure that customers are aware of the information the groomer gave him as someone who was trusted with the well-being of their pet. James shared: "Jonny told that I should tape my mouth shut as it was an acceptable and normal method. Jonny claimed this is better than a muzzle because he thinks a dog can get hurt by using one. He also mentioned that he personally uses this method on his own dogs."
Fox contacted Puppy Lux, who answered the phone and handed it to a woman claiming that they were investigating allegations. When asked about Puppy, she immediately said that it was an independent entity, before abruptly terminating the call.
